Until the twentieth century, the main cropgrowing activity
of the farm was vineyards.
In a document from Sant Benet de Bages, dated 1066, Bernat Brocard is
recorded as the owner of an estate and a number of vineyards.
The seventeenth-century expansion of the farm, due to the hugely extended
vineyard, called for the construction of three receptables or large wine
casks, together with four vats, which are still preserved to this day.
